Hawaii

Chris and I just got back from a week in Hawaii.  It was so much fun to spend an entire week with my grandmother, parents, sister, and of course my husband.  Waikiki is nothing to brag about though.  The only parts I truly enjoyed were driving around the island to see, as my grandmother put it, "the real Hawaii"; visiting the house and army base my mother lived at as a toddler; and climbing Diamond Head.

You probably have noticed that I didn't mention spending a week with my little boy.  It was heartbreaking to leave him back in VA for a whole week and knowing that I couldn't be there to comfort him if he needed his momma.  I knew he would be in great hands though with my inlaws.  They truly are a blessing to our family with all the help they give to us.  It was soooooooooo great to get home to the little guy though!  We spent all of Sunday with him, and took him to my parents for dinner so they could get a little Noah fix as well.  Then Chris convinced me to stay home to spend even MORE time with him yesterday :)  Gotta love him!  We played all morning and then went shopping for fall clothes for Noah at night (so daddy could rest after work).  I feel much better about being at work today after having those two days to spend with my guy.  My life is wonderful!

Upon our return Noah has learned a few new things.  He has started singing a lot...it's adorable of course.  He blows kisses whenever prompted.  He repeats almost everything now...time to watch our language!!!  Chris and my dad were watching a football game in the living room and Noah was in the dining room with me and my mom, and Chris yelled at the TV "GO! GO! GO!".  Noah was so quick to respond with "go go go" and it was so clear!  He also copied my mom saying "ribbit ribbit" when she was making the stuffed frog toy talk.

Well, I'm so happy to be back home, but could do without having to come back in the office ;)  Here are some pics of Hawaii!

I'm so glad you had a nice vacation! I love Hawaii and can't wait to go back someday. Isn't Diamond Head gorgeous? It and the North Shore were my favorite things too. :)
