Noah has been going to Little Gym since around December 2009. We started out in the "Bugs" group (4 months to 10 months age) and quickly bonded with the other ladies and babies of this group. However, Noah started crawling around 9 months of age, and eventually didn't want to sit in the group circle anymore. Why would anyone who just learned how to move more want to sit still? We had to make a difficult decision to move up to the next age group, the "Birds" (10 months to 19 months age), and leave our new great friends behind. It was a bit overwhelming at first as our only class option, due to mommy's work schedule, was Saturday morning. And we all know what happens on Saturday mornings at public places right? EVERYONE else goes, too! By the end of the semester, the group became more manageable, perhaps due to summer vacations, but at first we were playing with about 30 other babies along with their moms and/or dads! Craziness indeed, and Noah would just sit or stand in one spot and stare at all the crazy around him. We were used to just 6 other babies in our group! We are so glad we moved classes though, b/c this gave Noah more "moving time". He learned just how fun walking looked and soon picked it up on his own.
Our last day was very special at Little Gym. We were allowed to invite any friends and family to come play in the room with Noah and then see him get an award! Noah's Nanny, Maw Maw, Paw Paw, Aunt Nay, Uncle Jon, Uncle Travie, and Cousins Jasmine and Ava came to see him! He was so much more active b/c all his family was there with him. We will miss Little Gym, but there are more sports to sign up for in the near future for our little guy.
